Loved your tutorial for a quilt design wall. I love your idea of teasing this gift out until your friend saw it on your channel! Lol. I know you must be a great and fun friend. I just love all your knowledge. I love to learn from masters of their craft. I need all the help I can get being a newbie at quilting at 64. My mom did quilt, and I learned alot of basics as a child, but then I stopped being interested. My mom did sew on her Singer, but all quilting was done by hand sewing or tying knots. ❤

TY for showing the tip of adding that little extra fabric before the turn... i've been doing the "from the back" binding for years and using the serpentine stitch to finish... so much faster and actually added stability! Your quilt is beautiful.. thanks for sharing!

My great grandmother kept our family supplied with aprons, shopping bags, and big flowing nightgiwns. She never paid full price for her fabric. I still have one of her shopping bags that was made from upholstery fabric, made prior to 1972, as well as some aprons, full and half sizes. So you have given me some inspiration for some shopping bags. I also have some of my son-in-law's jeans that I want to make into some sturdy bags. Thanks for your video and inspiration!

I do enjoy watching and I am a beginning quilter and then just doing littler, smaller quilts, like quilts and quilts for grandchildren, little grandchildren, and enjoy the process. Very pretty holiday quilt! I'm anxious to try the binding tip. Same as you, I fold the binding at the corners by first turning the "bottom\horizontal" edge up and then folding the "side\vertical" edge on top. This makes it much easier to sew around the corner and also creates a less bulky corner. I am, however, a bit of a rebel when it comes to pressing the binding before attaching it to the quilt. I don't! It eliminates a step (a not-so-fun one in my book), and the end result looks just as neat and crisp. Thanks for a great video!

Great binding hack! I sometimes use scant quarter inch seams to accommodate the folds in a stitch and flip block, so it makes sense to use just that little bit to accommodate the bulk on the corners when we bind quilts. Thanks, Di!
